Common Bosch Repair Issues
Bosch dishwashers are the most commonly serviced Bosch appliance in Denver homes. The drain pump is the component we replace most often. When the drain pump fails, water remains in the bottom of the tub after the cycle completes, and the unit may display an E24 or E25 error code. In some cases, the drain pump is not failed but is simply obstructed by glass, food debris, or a broken dish fragment lodged in the impeller housing. We inspect and clear the pump before recommending a replacement. The water inlet valve is another frequent failure point, which presents as the dishwasher not filling with water or filling too slowly to complete a wash cycle.
Bosch dishwashers with CrystalDry technology use zeolite minerals to absorb moisture and convert it to heat during the drying phase. This system generally does not fail, but the fan that circulates air over the zeolite container can wear out, reducing drying effectiveness. In 300 and 500 series models without CrystalDry, drying performance is dependent on the rinse aid dispenser and condensation drying. If the rinse aid dispenser is stuck closed, dishes will be wet at the end of the cycle regardless of the settings used.
Bosch compact washers are popular in Denver condos and apartments where space is limited. These 24-inch units use the EcoSilence Drive brushless motor, which is reliable, but the door lock mechanism and control module can develop faults. A failed door lock prevents the washer from starting and displays an E16 or E34 error. Bosch ventless dryers, which use condensation or heat pump technology rather than an external vent, may develop issues with the condenser unit becoming clogged with lint, reducing drying efficiency. We clean the condenser and heat exchanger to restore performance.
Bosch wall ovens and ranges can experience thermostat calibration drift, where the oven temperature runs consistently higher or lower than the set temperature. The temperature sensor (thermistor) inside the oven cavity can develop resistance changes that cause inaccurate readings. Bosch gas cooktops may have igniter issues where one burner sparks continuously after being turned off, typically caused by moisture or food debris around the igniter electrode. We service all Bosch cooking products, including their induction cooktops with FlexInduction zones.
